MEMORY GRACE'S CHILDHOOD

Memory Grace, lost her biological father at a young age at and was later adopted by Mr. Mangisha, who raised her with care and dignity,  Yet, her early life was marked by deep emotional hardship, including rejection and the struggle to feel truly loved.

She became a mother at 15 and again at 17—circumstances that forced her to drop out of school twice and nearly surrender her dreams. But at the age of 23, during a season of personal darkness, Grace encountered a turning point. She discovered that her past did not have to define her future.

Through faith, determination, and daily acts of courage, she began to rebuild her life. Grace went on to become a successful maintenance administrator in the mining industry, raise two sons with strength and grace, build her own home, and pursue small-scale farming. Today, her journey stands as a testament to God’s redeeming power and the resilience of the human spirit.

MEMORY GRACE'S CHRISTIAN LIFE

At just 18 years old, Grace faced unimaginable challenges as a teenage mother of two. Life was overwhelmingly difficult—marked by rejection, hardship, and a society that often seemed too unforgiving, especially toward the less fortunate. Even before she encountered Christ, the world appeared cold and indifferent to her pain.

But it was in the depths of that struggle that she heard the gentle, yet powerful call of Jesus Christ through the words of a preacher. That moment became the turning point of her life. With a heart heavy with pain but open to hope, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and was later baptized in faith.

From that day forward, Grace has held firmly to her confession and faith, walking with Jesus through every season—whether in sorrow or in triumph. Despite facing continued suffering and hardship, her trust in God as the Author and Finisher of her life has never wavered.

Today, she finds deeper fulfillment than ever before—not in worldly success, but in serving others. Her heart beats for orphans, street children, and the marginalized, whom she now helps with compassion born from her own story. Her life is a testimony of God’s grace, mercy, and love—proving that even the most broken beginnings can give rise to beautiful destinies when placed in the hands of a faithful God.

BUSINESS, EMPLOYMENT, & LEADERSHIP

Memory Grace Hector’s entrepreneurial spirit began to blossom as early as Grade 3, when she would sell charcoal neatly packed in small plastic bags to help support her family. That early initiative was just the beginning of a resilient and visionary journey shaped by hardship, faith, and determination.

As a teenage mother of two, Grace faced immense challenges. Yet, after returning to school, she refused to let her circumstances define her. She began baking and selling scones to her fellow pupils, using the little she earned to provide for herself and her sons. Her resourcefulness became a lifeline—and a testimony to her unwavering grit.

In December 2011, after completing her course as a Computer Technician, Grace received her first professional opportunity with Barrick Gold Mine in Lumwana ,North Western of Zambia. It was a divine door of favor that marked the start of her corporate career. She would go on to work with several reputable mining firms across Zambia. During her off days, she traveled to Botswana and South Africa, purchasing clothes and shoes to resell to her colleagues—drawing on her deep-rooted entrepreneurial background.

With time, her ventures expanded. She successfully established a restaurant and ventured into agriculture, using her business acumen to build wealth and stability. Through this endeavor, she was able to construct her own home and acquire assets valued in thousands of Zambian kwacha. In a heartfelt gesture of gratitude, she later gifted the restaurant to her mother.

In 2019, she entered the fashion and design industry—another leap of faith fueled by prayer, determination, and relentless hard work. Her designs quickly gained recognition, leading to a thriving brand that transcended borders. Her success opened doors to international platforms, allowing her to travel across Europe and Africa. In 2022, she showcased her brand at the Diplomacy Fashion Show in Washington, D.C. and Paris fashion show, and in 2023, she received an invitation to Milan Fashion Week in Italy, which she was unfortunately unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances.

Beyond business, Grace has also served in leadership roles. From 2020 to 2022, she was a Board Director of Kopano Minerals Resources Limited, offering her insights and leadership to one of Zambia’s growing resource firms.

Today, Grace stands as a testament to what God’s grace, unshakable faith, and perseverance can accomplish. From humble beginnings to international runways, her journey continues to inspire women and youth across the globe to rise above circumstances and pursue purpose with boldness.

Memory Grace Hector  got married in March 2024 to Mr. David Andrew Hector an American. She  has  two biological sons who she had as teen mom and three Step-Children.

The founding of LUKETEKELO FOUNDATION

While working in Zambia’s mining industry, Memory Grace Hector came face to face with the harsh realities of young girls struggling to survive. Among them was a teenage girl selling air filters on the streets—lost, out of school, and without a clear path forward. Her story struck a deep chord in Grace. It was a mirror of what her own life could have become, had it not been for the grace of God and the unwavering support of her parents that helped her rise from adversity.

This moment was more than just emotional—it was a divine awakening.

In 2016, Grace received a clear and compelling call from God: to care for orphans, child mothers, street children, abandoned babies, and the marginalized within her community. The call grew even stronger when tragedy struck close to home. Her aunt and uncle passed away from HIV/AIDS, leaving behind five orphaned children, including a baby with cerebral palsy who was HIV-positive. Grace, along with her mother and others, stepped in to care for them—an experience that deeply moved her heart and cemented her resolve to become a voice for the voiceless.

This was no longer just an emotional response. It was a divine assignment. A sacred responsibility.

Since that time, Grace has devoted her life to this mission. Through practical compassion, she has provided support to countless child mothers, orphans, and street children—offering skill-building workshops, donating food and school supplies, and volunteering in ministries that serve the vulnerable. She has used every platform available, including her Facebook page, TikTok, LinkedIn presence, and YouTube channel Women of Difference, to spread God’s love and shine light on those often forgotten by society.

In 2021, through the collective support of friends and family, she purchased 190 hectares of farmland in Mufumbwe, North-Western Province—land she envisions as a long-term sustainability project. Then, in 2023, Grace, acquired an additional 9.5-hectare (23.8-acre) plot in Mwampita Village, Chibombo District. Here, they built a  home and school for orphans and marginalized children—many of whom currently walk 4–7 kilometers just to access education, if they go at all.

With hearts set on transformation, the couple has laid out sustainable plans: launching agricultural projects, poultry farming, and even a butchery store. These ventures are designed not only to feed and empower the children but also to generate income to support the operations of the Luketekelo Family Foundation without overreliance on outside donations.

Grace believes that this vision is not hers, but a sacred gift from God—rooted in her pain, born from compassion, and driven by faith. Her journey is a living testimony that God can raise a humble vessel to do mighty things. From selling scones in school to stewarding land for future generations, Grace's life declares that no beginning is too broken for God to build something beautiful.
